It's lunchtime.

What is going on, everybody?

Welcome to Lunch with the Clydesdale.

Hope you're all having a great afternoon.

It's been a wild twenty-four hours, man.

My mom actually flew out to Montana to

be with my daughter.

My daughter came here.

They flew back together.

Last night, my mom was coming in.

Had to go pick her up at the

airport last night, late.

Got in, got to bed after midnight.

Had to be up for work today.

You know what?

Thank goodness I have Thirdsy to get a

deep sleep when I don't have the full

night to sleep.

I took my Thirdsy, got a deep sleep,

about six and a half, seven hours,

but it was nice, restful, deep sleep.

And you can do that too by using

the code Jazzy at checkout.

That's Jazzy at checkout.

So a lot happened this weekend.

I was listening to Savan this morning.

He called me out for my analysis of

the UFC or not UFC,

the MMA fights over the weekend.

And he was on point.

I have totally become a casual fan of

MMA.

And so when I am looking at an

MMA fight,

I don't get to see it week in

and week out.

And the reason is I cannot stay up

for the West Coast fight times.

They don't even get...

The main event doesn't even get to the

ring generally until one o'clock in the

morning.

Who can do that?

Who...

i can't when i was younger sure i

could do it but these days man one

o'clock in the morning is so hard for

me to get to so i don't i

don't watch every week netflix offered me

the opportunity to watch a fight a little

bit earlier i took it i thought the

fights were action-packed they made the

point that they were very overmatched

which makes sense because

Most of the fights ended in the first

round.

And so... I get their point completely.

I used to be the biggest boxing fan.

I would get all the pay-per-views back in

the day.

The Holyfields, the Tysons,

the Lennox Lewises.

I loved all that stuff.

And...

And then it just got to be where

boxing became a joke.

I started watching UFC.

I enjoyed it,

but it just kept getting later and later

and later.

And I just, I couldn't do it anymore.

Just Vermeer as UFC fights aren't worth it

on the East coast.

They're just, they're not.

And a lot of times, like,

so like this weekend,

I stayed up for that Rousey Corona fight

and it was over in

So I stayed up till midnight,

watched the fight.

It's done in seventeen seconds.

I could have watched the whole fight on

a reel the next day.

The whole fight.

But I did enjoy the other fights and

I enjoyed.

I really did.

I really enjoyed the whole card.

But I do see what they're saying that

they were overmatched.

So, yeah, I get it.

Yeah,

that fight could have been an email for

sure.

For sure.

So...

Last night we talked a lot about the

French throwdown.

We'll go over it briefly today.

Jason Hopper dominated the French

throwdown this weekend.

If you didn't watch,

my big question to Jamie and Carolyn

was...

Is Jason Hopper that good?

Or is the European men's field depleting

that much?

And I asked that question because because

Moritz Fiebig took second place.

he is a twentieth,

twenty-fifth place athlete at the games in

his best years.

So,

is the European men's field just declining

that much?

Like, it's kind of sad.

Like, we don't have the BKGs anymore.

We don't have the Yonakoskis anymore.

at least they were good at like aspects

that they could compete with the elite of

the elite.

And I don't see like Moritz Fiebig even

being a guy who's going to compete with

the elite on any one event.

So, um,

Harry freaking Lightfoot got sick too.

But even Harry,

I don't think Harry has developed into

that elite level yet.

He may get there,

and it could have been a different story

had he been able to compete this weekend.

But it's just crazy to me that they

have fallen so far.

Andrew Sten,

not sure it should have gotten three game

spots.

That's a bold statement, Andrew Sten.

But I kind of don't disagree with you.

So... Mark Phillips, both.

For the same reason you give, Moritz.

Uh...

Others could have traveled.

They just didn't.

But if you're traveling in, Mark,

then you're not Europe, right?

If the best you can put on the

floor is Moritz Fiebig,

then you are not a strong field going

forward.

And again, Harry Lightfoot got sick.

Victor Hoffer already punched his ticket

at Mayhem.

So they do have those two guys.

But again, Harry's developing.

Victor hasn't stayed healthy for a season

yet.

We don't even know where he is.

So I think the field is weak and

getting weaker.

The only hope is that Victor Hoffer turns

himself into an athlete that can compete

with the best of the best.

The men don't have the high-level

competitions anymore, sadly.

I would have expected more from a margin

of victory from Hopper with that field.

I think, Joseph,

that Hopper pulled the old Rich Froning,

looked around,

only did what he knew he had to

do to get his ticket.

I did get a sense,

even on that front squat,

that he was still nursing that groin

injury,

and he was only doing what he needed

to do to get to the games.

Mark says he agrees that the field is

weak.

I feel bad saying that those guys are

really fit.

And then, like,

to put the black mark on not only

a weak field,

but one of the guys that you gave

a ticket to the CrossFit Games was

publicly outed six months ago on a podcast

with Peter and Adrian Munweiler saying

that he left human growth hormone in a

refrigerator in Majorca.

That is an embarrassment.

If one of your top two athletes was

outed for using performance-enhancing

drugs,

that's a huge black eye to Europe as

a whole.

Huge black eye.

Now, I know innocent until proven guilty

But there's a lot of circumstantial

evidence around this and even more than

other people that we have doubted.

And even if he didn't do it,

the doubt is there because of the

evidence.

I got a comment last night in the.

on the YouTube for last night's show

saying,

I hope CrossFit does a random drug test

just to tell the guy,

we know what you did.

We're checking randomly.

Do I think CrossFit will do it?

No.

Do I think it's a good idea?

Sure.

But you'd have to catch him like the

day of he was cycling yesterday.

get the european men to level up they

need some athletes to perform at elite

level and keep doing that for some time

i don't disagree frida so i do think

that random drug testing is the only way

to like go after

the HGHs of the world,

these things that have a half-life that is

so short.

It has to be off-season.

It has to be when they would strategically

do a cycle to get ready for the

games.

And CrossFit would have to take a

strategic approach to that.

I don't know if they have that in

them right now with everything else going

on.

And the person we're talking about is Nika

Mazzarazzi,

who finished third at the French Throwdown

and is going to the CrossFit Games.

Didn't they randomly test Nicolas Jaillot?

Remember him, or was that after regionals?

I believe, Barry, that he was tested...

because he qualified for the games at if

i'm remembering this correctly at the

atlas games he finished in the top five

at atlas and he got tested while he

was there yeah mark is backing me up

on that so it was an in competition

test

So that guy was just not even paying

attention.

So, yeah, I don't know.

I don't know what happened there.

I know he tested positive.

I just don't know why he thought he

could get through all of that.

And his ban is up June twelfth,

twenty twenty six.

Yeah,

we're getting a lot of people off bans

now.

A lot of people.

But not all of them are going back

into competition.

He had Ostrand and Carter in,

and Frida said that is a cocktail.

Sure is.

Got him way up the leaderboard.

Now,

on the women's side of the French

Throwdown, we have the exact opposite.

That field was stacked.

That field was unbelievable.

So competitive.

I mean, the top nine athletes,

any one of them on a good day

could have competed for that spot.

But it ends up being Miriam Von Roer,

Amy Kringle,

and Elisa Fuliano in that order.

Lisa Fuliano wins by four points over Leah

Storn for the last spot.

And Claudia Gluck was twelve points back.

No, sorry.

My math is off.

Sixteen points back.

Kringle will win the games.

I think that's a big leap, Barry.

I think it's a big leap.

I love Amy.

I think she's really good at certain

things,

and she's going to hit some home runs.

But I think she has a few holes

in her game that, like,

in this competition,

she had a ninth-place finish,

an eleventh place, another ninth.

she can't fall that far down the

leaderboard on the thing.

She's not awesome at.

So she, she is not strong.

So on the front squad,

she finished eleventh outside the top ten.

She had two ninth place finishes at the

French throwdown.

Granted, it was stacked.

Games is going to be more stacked.

Got to,

got to clean up those last couple holes.

What's crazy is just a few years ago,

she only had a couple home runs and

nothing else.

And now she has a lot of things

with just a couple holes.

So she's going to have to reduce the

effect of those couple events to win the

games.

And I'm not sure she has that over

a Lucy Campbell

I mean, she lost to Miriam here.

Even Emma Lawson, Alex Gazan.

Yeah.

Who do we think will win for the

women?

I think I picked already,

and we'll do it closer to the games,

but I think I picked Gazan to win,

Emma Lawson to take second,

and Lucy Campbell to take third,

if I remember my picks right.

But I think Kringle could fight for a

podium spot for sure.

Without Tia there,

It's pretty wide open.

Pretty wide open.

Jeremy agrees just in reverse order.

Tia just had her baby.

She's competing now.

Yeah, we talked about that last night.

Does CrossFit give her a special invite

now that she's given birth?

She has six weeks to train.

Carolyn made the statement last night that

if she did show up,

she would not finish last in any event,

six weeks postpartum.

And I can't disagree with that.

And that is crazy.

That is crazy to even like utter those

words, but she is such,

such a cyborg when it comes to competing.

She has it up here,

and she has it physically.

And I don't think anybody has the mental

makeup that Tia does.

I'm really interested to see how Miriam

does on the game stage.

She finished top ten last year.

Can she repeat it?

Can she improve?

Can she fight for a game spot?

Corey says, holy smokes,

it's six weeks to the games.

I may have been off on that a

little bit.

It's probably ten weeks to the games.

Phil Toon just got banned again?

He's not even competing.

How does he get banned?

Or did he get banned in another sport?

If you look at Phil Toon,

there is no question he didn't stop.

Paige Rogers is a force lately.

Dude, she would be my dark horse.

she would be my dark horse in this

race.

I think when I made the picks that

I made, it was prior to mayhem.

Now that I've seen her at mayhem,

she's definitely a factor for sure.

Uh, Barry said, joking.

I'm just, uh, just saying,

cause he's so big.

Yeah.

That man never stopped pumping the

cocktail.

That's for sure.

She can't train yet postpartum,

but we will see her at Rogue.

Andrea Nistler, I think, defied the odds.

The year, uh,

twenty twenty four CrossFit game.

She won the thirty five to thirty nine

Masters.

And it was not super long after she

gave birth.

But I know that's Masters.

That is not elite.

But it blew my mind.

Seeing her in person,

you would not even know she had given

birth months prior.

Or take a pics page to win it.

I'm going to wait until...

I'm going to wait until we get closer

to make new pics.

Amanda,

she did the final open workout on the

same weekend as her delivery.

Yeah, that's what.

And she did quarters.

There were quarters that year.

She had to do open, give birth,

do quarters, online semis.

And it was,

it can't even conceptualize what Andrea

Nessler did that year.

Can't even conceptualize.

But it is a true testament of the

fitness, wellness, sickness continuum.

Or sickness, wellness, fitness continuum.

She was so fit going into that delivery

that her body bounced back so quickly.

And T has got to be in that

same vein, right?

So...

Or she is an outlier.

Dude, I'm a,

I'm a strong believer in the sickness

wellness fitness continuum.

The higher you peg that meter to fitness,

the quicker your body bounces back.

The more you can overcome injury or trauma

to the body.

It's I think it's just facts.

Tia was five months post for Rogue after

Willow.

Wonder if she does the same thing this

year.

I think we just have to see if

Tia's going to compete again.

That's always up in the air.

So, yeah.

So that's that.

That's...

If you guys have not seen the new

Dutton Ranch show,

I cannot say enough how much I love

it.

It is the best spinoff from Yellowstone

yet.

If you like Yellowstone,

if you like Taylor Sheridan,

Dutton Ranch is awesome.

Jeremy is working on figuring out how to

get pregnant and give birth.

Seems to increase fitness levels.

I think the key, Jeremy,

is they were fit going into the pregnancy.

So you got to work on the fitness

now to even be more fit after.

You're leaving out the step.

Dutton Ranch, so far, so good.

Gosh, it...

Jay Birch, you seem skeptical,

but doggone it,

like I cannot wait for episode three.

Cannot wait for episode three.

Dying for episode three.

There are very few shows that make me

want the next episode that bad.

So I wanted to highlight...

Someone that hangs out in the chat with

us a little bit.

And Denise, wrong thing.

Denise Moore,

who is the reigning sixty five to sixty

nine year old champion.

And Cindy Hinkle,

who is the reigning fifty five to fifty

nine year old champion,

did a fun event that I wanted to

share with you.

And I just wanted to say,

if there is a better way of showing

what CrossFit can do again,

sixty five to sixty nine year old champ,

fifty five to fifty nine year old champ.

Have you seen this?

To be able to hang for as long

as Denise does with one hand is

remarkable.

What a,

an advertisement for what CrossFit can do

for longevity of fitness

I was truly astounded by what these ladies

pulled off.

I know it's kind of been done and

all over the internet,

but how fun seeing what these two women

can do from our older age groups in

the master's division.

Boom.

The next thing I wanted to say is

when I drive and I'm heading to Syndicate

here in a week and a half,

I crank up the radio,

I sing my heart out,

and nothing demonstrates what it's like to

ride in a car with me like this

video.

so that is me uh when i'll be

driving to tennessee to go to syndicate

this year uh nothing gets me there better

than some good music cranking the radio

and drinking my coffee.

That is so much what I do.

Probably, fifteen years ago,

I got three speeding tickets because of me

singing in the car.

No joke.

No joke.

You have to switch to the Michael McDonald

seamlessly or it doesn't count.

Of course.

Michael McDonald is the king of that song.

Such a long way to go.

Got to do it, man.

What music are we doing during that,

Scott?

If you looked at my Spotify lists,

it is all over the map.

All over the map.

It's whatever mood strikes me.

It could be anywhere from Pitbull to

Lincoln Park to Metallica to Christopher

Cross.

Like, and everywhere in between.

That's what cruise is for.

I know.

I am much better at using the cruise

control today than I was back then.

Ed says,

I hope you have your seatbelt on.

I do.

I wear my seatbelt.

Ortega, yes, I'm coming to Syndicate.

Got my media credentials ready to rock and

roll.

It'll be really like my first time back

since my heart's in rhythm and all of

that stuff, so...

I'm glad you said Metallica.

I imagined a wolf and man for you.

Yeah.

I, uh, I like, like,

I'll tell you like my three favorite bands

ever.

This is how diverse my world is.

Are you to Van Halen, Billy Joel.

Those are my three all time favorite

bands.

Bands, performers, people, whatever.

It's all over the map.

So there you go.

Holly Dugan,

our amazing stats and information person,

who's been blowing it up weekend after

weekend after weekend.

So she likes Metallica.

Or take it.

What are you going to be doing there?

I'm just there for me.

I'll be covering.

Carolyn will be competing at NorCal,

albeit syndicate.

Hopefully we can link up with Jamie to

do some live stuff from there.

from both locations.

And just going to talk to athletes,

talk to coaches,

do what I can to get information.

And I need a new set of pictures

for my thumbnails.

So I'll be taking tons of photos while

I'm there.

Yeah.

And then if I figure out something to

pivot to on the fly, all the better.

Jason Bourne,

can I get a picture with you at

Syndicate?

Of course.

Just ask.

Although, just don't sneak up on me,

Jason Bourne.

Just don't sneak up on me.

Holly, the louder the music,

the better the spreadsheets.

That needs to be a t-shirt.

That needs to be a t-shirt.

um nice dude nice yeah uh Jay Burch

Elton John Creed ACDC Metallica yeah those

are all on my playlist Jay Burch all

four of those seen Elton John twice in

concert saw Creed before they broke when I

lived in Tallahassee and they were there

never seen ACDC I've seen Metallica way

back in the day

our Ortega will be there.

We're helping with the live stream.

I figured I knew,

I knew they were bringing in a couple

of my favorite, uh,

photographer videographers in for that.

So, uh, hope you guys kill it, man.

That's that would be so huge, uh,

for the sport, for the community.

If you guys can knock this out of

the park.

Data One says, pivot tables and Pantera.

Wow.

Holly, that might be too hard for me.

Might be too hard for me.

Sabaton Queen Van Halen for me.

Sabaton, Queen, Van Halen for me.

Love Queen too.

I'm not familiar with Sabaton.

I'll have to look that up.

Syndicate is not paywall.

Neither is NorCal.

So... Yeah, both will be free of charge.

Flow will be carrying NorCal,

but they didn't get the exclusive rights.

So... So you can watch NorCal...

both on youtube or flow with syndicate

it's just on youtube is my understanding

uh i guess this is in response to

pantera's too hard for me that's what she

said michael scott savaton is power metal

i'll check him out i'll pull him up

on spotify this afternoon

No paywall but donate to Spint because it

helps me.

Anytime an entity is out there live

streaming for free for us to view,

you should donate.

That is happening.

You would pay to go to a movie.

You would pay for a streaming service.

Why not pay a couple bucks to the

people that are out there busting their

ass to bring you coverage of an event?

for sure.

And syndicate is only on YouTube,

the spin channel.

Yeah, I figured as much.

So yeah,

we got a lot of stuff going down.

This weekend will be Torian and rebel.

And then next week,

the following week will be syndicate

NorCal and Madrid.

Um, so, and then we,

that's pretty much it other than some

online stuff.

Semi-final season will be over and we'll

be heading into games, games time.

And I, and I,

I want to know if Ortega takes dollars

or pesos or EBT.

I think YouTube converts all that after

they take their share for sure.

Jay Birch,

five dollars from every viewer goes a long

way.

That's less than a single serving of

Thirdsy,

which you can get for fifteen percent off

by using code Jazzy at checkout.

That's Thirdsy.com backslash Jazzy.

Oh, yeah.

Everybody takes DojaCoin at AI.

Everybody.

That stuff is so valuable.

So valuable.

So valuable.

Well, I'm going to head out of here.

I've got to run some testing this

afternoon.

But I have a special treat for you.

I've come up with a new outro for

the show.

I'm going to debut it right now.

Hold on to your seats.

It's so damn good.

With that,

don't forget to like and subscribe to the

channel.

Please hit the like button.

Hit the subscribe button.

It's super easy.

Just do that.

It helps us a ton.

Not asking for donations today.

With that,

have a great rest of your day.

And we'll be back tomorrow with the cowboy

at twelve fifteen p.m.

Eastern Time.

See you all then.

You wouldn't wait to get to the editing

room to jazz me up.

I'm already jazzy.

Lunch with the Clydesdale Cowboy in the

saddle.

Lunch with the Clydesdale Cowboy in the

saddle.

Talking to reps,

real life strength in the battle.

From the gym to the screen, yeah,

we cover it all.

Midday motivation every time we press

call.

Lunch with the Clydesdale Cowboy,

bring the heat.

CrossFit, movies, music, home repeat.

Half hour hustle, yeah,

we building that brand.

Grab a plate, shoot it,

now you're part of the fam.

Woo!
